FACTS:
Children below 14 Years of age constitute 28.6 percent of India’s population. According to Population & Demography Data Explorer, July 2022, India has a child population of 362 million in the age group of 0-14 years. Based on data from 2019-2021, 16.3 percent of India’s population was under nourished.
A close look at the nutritional status of children indicates that they suffer from under nourishment resulting from inadequate diets.
At this tender age, children experience a number of difficulties and they are exploited unscrupulously.
